Proceedings of Indian Parliament - Sansad
Indian Parliament is named as Sansad. Every Law is known as bill till the time it is being passed in lok sabha and rajya sabha.
Actually the written proposal for a law is known as bill in the terminology of Indian Parliament.
As Indian Parliament is situated in New Delhi. There are two houses in our indian Parliament. Upper House & Lower House.
Upper house is known as Rajya Sabha and Lower house is known as Lok Sabha. Both the houses are equally important one after another. There are approximately 550 members in Lok sabha and approximately 250 members are there in Rajya sabha. The members of lower house Lok sabha are elected members. They all are elected from all over India. The party which got majority in lok sabha formed government in India after every five years.
Now come to the proceedings of Sansad. Initially the proposal for a law is being proposed in any of house by the permission of house speaker. There is an exception that as there are two types of bills (proposals) One is money bill another is ordinary bill.
The bills concerned with money are comes under money bills and all rest of proposals would be named as ordinary bills. Money bills are essential to represent first in lok sabha however there is no any restrictions on ordinary bills. As for example if we take money bill. It will introduced first in lok sabha and then the debate has been start on the bill. After debate the speaker announced for the voting, who agreed?Then finally if majority of members vote to pass the bill then it moves to the another house for the same process. And all the process repeated same as in lok sabha and then farward it to president for final accent. And after final signatory of president bill becomes a law.
